Our Story

A Heritage Built by Hand, Carried Forward by Family

Tanjong Rhu Pau began in 1988, founded by Yap Peng Wah after decades spent honing the craft of pau-making from a young age. Over the years, the brand earned a loyal following through honest flavours, steady craftsmanship, and paus so fresh they often sold out straight from the steamer. Today, siblings Yap Wei Jie and Yap Hsiao Cheng lead the next chapter—preserving the family’s handmade pau heritage while bringing it to more people across Singapore.

How long can I keep the paus at home?
Our handcrafted paus can be kept for up to 3 days in the chiller or up to 10 days in the freezer.

A simple steam is the best way to enjoy them at home while preserving their soft texture and handmade quality.
Where are your outlets located?
We currently have outlets at Guillemard, Balestier, Great World, and Tampines, with upcoming kiosks at Mandai and Bishan Junction 8.
